Surface dressing is a cost effective, hard wearing material. It is a hot liquid road bitumen, spray applied onto the surface at approximately 80 degrees, then covered by a layer of triple washed psv granite road stone chippings, then rolled to consolidate.
In some cases, 2 layers can be required for heavier goods, vehicles turning, and busy car parks. Mostly used by the council to maintain damaged, failing roads and carriageway surfaces. It extends the life span of roads, drives, car parks and industrial yards etc.
